eBay ad translation from seller: "It is one of a small series of 18 cars built in 1962/63. The cars went to great VW dealers, this particular one was registered in Stuttgart to the main dealer Hahn. They owned it for 3 years and sold it 1966 to another Stuttgart owner. In 1977 it was retired from circulation due to rust and a small frontal damage. In 1985 after having bought all exterior body parts restoration started with the body taken off the chassis. Unavailable parts of the chassis were reproduced to original specs. I drove the car only with dealer plates, the French plates visible in the photos were for photo purposes, the original car papers still exist. Exterior is Pearl White, interior is original, original Becker radio. Before its 1st registration it was equipped with twin carburators like 1500 S, but power output is slightly lower due to low compression. Originally a Porsche exhaust was installed, but it is no longer fitted."
