1964 344 Red & Black from England "6 volt, recently resprayed, original interior, some service history & original logbook, good solid car." OVERALL: Decent original 1964 with 95% original parts needs finishing. EXTERIOR: New paint, good body, sits nicely INTERIOR: Original seat upholstery & panels worn, radio hole cut, non-stock carpeting, missing left window winder PROBLEMS: Rocker panel trims missing (bondo & rust issues?), missing wheel trim rings, & Beetle hub caps. COMMENTS FROM PURET34 MEMBER CHRIS WRIGHT: "This car is on the Isle of Wight. Needs an interior and a lot of rechroming. Sills replaced but welded to the pan. Resprayed about 12-18 months ago, not sure of the quality. It's been for sale for nearly a year to my knowledge. If my memory serves me well, the existing owner can't drive it due to ill health and the resto company selling it is owned by his son."
