| All 1969 models had: | Dual-carb 1600cc engine, 12-Volt electrical system, black dash knobs, squared radio area, VW1600L rear script, thin tail light bases with protruding lenses, satin-finish half-moon horn ring, single-handle inner door pulls, door locks on top rear edge of upper door pads, heater levers at e-brake base, black symmetrical rear view mirror head, rounded door panel trim, coil on the left side of the generator, brake fluid reservoir inside front compartment (not spare tire area), & angled ignition switch. Automatics had lower-case AUTOMATIC script on right rear panel. |
